Assistant ManagerFull-timeOverviewLiquor Barn, Party Mart, and DEP'S (BRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GoPuff, operating a retail chain of spirits, beer, wine, and party goods in Kentucky. We offer 23 retail locations across the state, including Louisville, Lexington, Danville, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Owensboro, and Northern Kentucky, with a delivery radius reaching 80% of Kentucky residents.As an Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in providing excellent customer service while driving sales through BRS products. You will assist in daily operations, motivate the team to achieve store goals, and provide strong leadership while enforcing all company policies and procedures, safety, and security.ResponsibilitiesIncludes, but are not limited to:Provide high levels of customer service, driving sales, handling difficult situations, demonstrating organizational skills, and multi-tasking.Inventory control.Assist in reviewing orders.Collaborate with corporate, vendors, and buyer team.Interview, hire, conduct employee orientations, training, and development.Coach and guide store employees to improve customer experience.Provide expert knowledge of BRS products to offer customer recommendations.Communicate with the General Manager for business and store team needs.Provide support and feedback for overall performance of the store and employees.Assist in the hiring process, conduct screen interviews, and recruit.Ensure that all company standards are followed.Assist the General Manager in planning, prioritizing, and adjusting schedules to drive sales while following payroll expectations.Execute all marketing, promotions, and events promptly.Ensure all pricing, signage, and display information is correct.Perform cashier functions and adhere to policy while completing customer transactions.Maintain store safety standards.Ensure store cleanliness and assist in maintaining standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms.Maintain all safety standards for deliveries.Participate in product education classes and training.Qualifications21 years of age or older.3 years of retail management experience.Ability to work full-time as business requires (nights, weekends, and holidays).Strong comprehension, written, and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills to communicate confidently with customers and team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to multi-task.Ability to count cash and make change accurately.Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of products and services.Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional and practical communication skills.Ability to demonstrate a positive and engaging attitude and demeanor.High School Diploma or equivalent.This job requires the ability to perform the following:Frequently standing and moving.Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.Handling objects, products, and equipment safely.Bending and kneeling.EOEBenefitsWe offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, optional FSAs and HSA plans, 401k, commuter benefits, and supplemental employee, spouse, and child life insurance to all eligible employees.We also offer:Gopuff employee discount.Career growth opportunities.Internal rewards programs.Annual performance appraisal and bonus.Equity program.At Gopuff, we know that life can be unpredictable.
