Senior Staff Software Engineer, Platforms Infrastructure Engineering, Storage

Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.2 years of experience in the storage domain (i.e., hardware or software).Preferred qualifications:Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.Experience in one or more of the following: SSD storage and related technologies, such as NVMe, storage hardware and FTLs, storage management and security low level systems architecture, and/or low level systems architecture.About The JobGoogle's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In this role, you will be responsible for building storage solutions for all of Google's services (e.g., AI/ML Systems, Cloud, Search Photos, Youtube etc.). You will design and develop all the platforms software and solutions for NAND flash, SSDs, storage appliances, and next-generation disruptive storage technologies. You will also develop firmware, kernel drivers, system software, tools and security solutions optimized for Google’s services such as Cloud, Search etc.
