Financial Analyst (Hybrid in Durham, NC; Washington, DC; or Chicago, IL)
The Financial Analyst role on our Partner Solutions team works in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to advise on financial management best practices and ensure high quality financial reporting for a variety of nonprofit clients.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide financial client service to internal colleagues and a portfolio of external clients by reviewing and analyzing programmatic financial statements, preparing forecasts and other financial customizations, and problem solving as other financial issues or questions ariseReview and help prepare the financial components of proposals and grant reports to private foundation fundersCommunicate financial information in a way that is understandable and accessible to non-financial stakeholdersParticipate in the preparation of trainings designed for internal staff and external clients on processes and best practices in nonprofit financial managementUpdate and maintain shared financial templates and other key resources of the client financial services teamWork collaboratively with non-financial colleagues across multiple departments to improve systems, processes, and the accuracy of financial reporting for clientsTo Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Need
Required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience with financial and grant reporting in a nonprofit or client service settingKnowledge of nonprofit finance and accounting best practices and conceptsProficiency with Excel for data analysis and developing templates for client useAbility to simplify and explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholdersStrong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing deadlinesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client service environmentProficiency with problem solving, analytical skills, and attention to detailPreferred
Experience managing private foundation grantsFinancial management experience with fiscal sponsorsFamiliarity with the rules governing 501(c)(3)’s and 501(c)(4)’sOur Core Competencies

While this position can be hybrid in Durham, NC, Washington, DC, or Chicago, IL, please note that all Arabella Advisors’ offices have reopened, and we work in a hybrid environment.

Our hybrid schedule options include Flex, with 1-2 days per week in the office, or Office-based, with 3+ days per week in the office and the remaining days working remotely.

This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive total rewards package that includes salary, bonus, and benefits.
Annual Pay Ranges for This Position
Durham pay range: $63,000 - $71,000
Chicago pay range: $66,000 - $75,000
DC pay range: $70,000 - $80,000
