Assistant District Attorneys are routinely required to perform evening, night, weekend and holiday assignments and to respond, on a 24-hour basis, to crime scenes, police precincts and booking facilitiesThe Bronx District Attorney is committed to serving the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community through the Office’s groundbreaking mission of “Pursuing Justice with Integrity” by fulfilling our duty to victims and providing fairness to defendants. We are looking for a diverse staff that reflects the community we serve, and currently seeking candidates for the position of entry-level Assistant District Attorney commencing in the Fall of 2024. Assistant District Attorneys are given considerable responsibility early in their careers. Once proficient, Assistant District Attorneys handle serious and complex cases. Assistant District Attorneys are required to abide by a commitment of three years of initial service to the Office of the District Attorney.Public Service Loan Forgiveness: As a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
