This position works out of our Tech Center in St. Paul, MN location in the Electrophysiology division. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.As the Data Analyst I, you will interact with numerous types of data to provide analytics for the Electrophysiology quality organization. The Data Analyst is responsible for pulling data to support trending of product complaints and medical device reports utilizing data that resides in the complaint handling database for all product lines. This will include detailed data reports (e.g. graphs, charts, tables) prepared for routine trending, senior management reviews, ad-hoc requests, and cross-functional requests as needed (e.g. Regulatory, Quality Engineering, R&D). The Data Analyst will establish and maintain complex reporting formulas and templates using reporting tools such as Excel and other databases (e.g. Business Objects).Job Duties:

Provide development of macros, extracts, queries, and dashboards for various data needs across the business utilizing Power-BI, Excel, and IBM Business ObjectsDevelop and support dashboards for proactively measuring internal business data for various uses across the divisionAssist with ad-hoc, monthly quarterly reporting for the Electrophysiology division and propose opportunities for automation and time-savingsEnsure and maintain a safe and professional work environmentComply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other international regulatory regulation requirements/standards, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignmentsSupport all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirementsQualifications:

A Bachelor's degree preferably in an applicable engineering discipline or data science with two or more years of progressively increasing responsibility and work experience in Quality, Design, Engineering, and/or Research & DevelopmentExperienced and proficient with Advanced Excel (pivots and/or macros), Microsoft Power BI (or Tableau), and Microsoft PowerPointProven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metricsAbility to work collaboratively within a geographically diverse business environment and personnel baseAbility to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentStrong verbal and written English communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate and present at multiple hierarchical levels in the organizationAbility to multi-task, prioritize, meet/exceed deadlines, and hold themselves, staff, and others accountableStrong organizational, strategic planning, and tactical execution/follow-up skillsApply Now
