We are Guardians of the Connected World. We are looking for exceptional talent to join our team.Position Summary:This Security Account Manager position is with NETSCOUT’S US SLED Sales Team. SLED Sales focuses on the State, Local, and Education Sector. This includes selling products or services to government agencies, municipalities, schools, universities, and other public institutions. The SLED Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota in assigned territory through direct sales to customers. This role controls the accounts directly even if the business is booked through channels.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelinesFollow a selling processResponsible for booking business per the company bookings policies and revenue recognition policyUnderstand the customer’s business and how our products impact their businessDevelop strong relationships and coach in the accountsDevelop a pipeline of 4X quota and constantly prospect in new or existing accountsDevelop strong working relationships with channel partnersConsistently call at multiple levels high and wideWork collaboratively with Sales Engineers to ensure ongoing account technical supportFollow company strategy and directionSubstantial travel within the region and occasionally beyond is requiredCandidate will need to be located on the West Coast or Mountain StatesEducation Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degreeExperience Requirements:5+ years sales experience in Network Security or cybersecurity5+ years experience selling into large IT / Data Centers5+ years experience in the SLED market segmentA quantifiable track record of success demonstrated by territory/professional growthA solid, articulate understanding of our technology, market, and client profileTrack record of exceptional and consistent quota achievementProven success, established customers and contacts, and solid territory knowledgeAbility to independently work with large, complex accountsAbility to source, pursue and close new businessPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, you regularly will be required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift company products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
