Detail oriented, able to maintain quality control for all outgoing products
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Expert level experience using Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook; Excel and Adobe Acrobat (pdf files), digital photographs (jpeg files)
Proficient with AutoCAD
Knowledge of databases and the process of up/downloading data
Education and Experience Required
BA or BS Degree in Architecture or BS Degree in Engineering
5 – 10 years of experience in industry-related design or construction
Telecom design & site development experience
1 – 3 years of team oversight experience
Responsibilities
The Design Manager oversees deliverables, directs staff as needed, and works closely with Project Managers to ensure our client’s design intentions are captured and delivered on schedule and budget
Ownership of understanding jurisdictional requirements, contractual scopes of work, our internal team’s ability, necessary mentorship and driving the team to meet our client commitments while working with the project budget
Independently create industry-related site designs from field investigations, original drawings, satellite images or other internet software
Oversee and procure the services of outside vendors
Understand good construction practices and basic architectural, electrical & grounding design
Communicate design requirements to engineering, design and drafting teams
Research and understand client standards, construction limitations, and internal capabilities
Create and maintain spreadsheets/project trackers to ensure on-time deliverables within budget
Lead team of drafters to assemble design packages from start to finish including internal & external QA/QC process
Work closely with EOR to ensure quality work product and service
Reviews architectural contract documents drawings and specifications for multiple projects
Ensures that drawings are checked, approved and filed in accordance with company quality system
