SMX is seeking an Enterprise Architect to support USINDOPACOM in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Enterprise Architect will provide technical DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) approach and analytical recommendations that continues, documents, and expands USINDOPACOM Digital Modernization Strategy in accordance with applicable Executive Orders (EO), DoD directives, guidance, and objectives.Duties And Responsibilities

The Enterprise Solutions Architect will apply technical knowledge and expertise across multiple teams to architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create solution roadmaps, drive POCs/MVPS, and ensure long term technical viability of cloud migrations, leveraging key technologies where appropriate.Delivers tactical through operational to strategic level systems approach recommendations that integrates USINDOPACOM Theater Operational Plans, exercises, missions and operations in support of National Defense Strategy in the Asia-Pacific.Provides local, regional, and global systems approach recommendations and solutions that transitions USINDOPACOM stove-piped network-centric environment to data-centric security posture.Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates.Lead architecture through hands-on evaluations, defining standards, designing solution and reference architectures that solve stated business objectives.Optimize solutions to improve performance and scalability, while providing efficiencies and reducing operating costs.Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk.Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.Advocate and drive adoption of standard methodologies to ensure standardization of solution architecture outputs across the enterprise.Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technologies, and services.Required Skills & Experience

Clearance Required: TS/SCI or Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud). Customer facing skills to acquire knowledge of customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.Experience providing architectural standards and process support for definition and implementation of a consistent technical infrastructure.Strong interpersonal skills to include relationship building with senior IT executives or highly strategic accounts; problem solving complex customer problems; and collaboration and communication skills.Desired Skill & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering.10 years of experience ideating, architecting, consulting, designing, developing, leading, and delivering cloud infrastructure and cloud application platform technology solutions over the entire lifecycle of large scale, multi-team, complex enterprise projects.At least 8 years of experience in more than one of the following technical domains: Core Infrastructure, Application Development, Data and Analytics, and Low Code/No Code.Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert desired.AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional desired.
