General Surgery - This health system in West Georgia is seeking a Board Certified|Board Eligible Acute Care General Surgeon to join our hospital employed Surgical Group consisting of 6 board certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPs.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesWill provide coverage to primarily inpatient & emergency department consults at the Carrollton facility, a 181 bed (and growing) acute care hospital located in Carrollton, GA, and Villa Rica facility, a 53 bed (and growing) acute care hospital located in Villa Rica, GA.Receives ED calls, transfers, and referrals from Tanner’s critical access hospitals, Higgins General Hospital in Bremen, GA, and Tanner East Alabama in Wedowee, AL.Schedule:Monday – Friday; 7a – 5pNo weeknight call coverage responsibilities, and weekend call coverage obligations will be evenly split with your general surgery physician colleagues.Job Eligibility RequirementsM.D. or D.O. degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.Unrestricted Georgia physician license, or able to obtain.Residency trained in General Surgery; Board certified or eligible in General Surgery.Proven competency to perform a full spectrum of routine general surgery procedures and acute care surgery.For more information, please call asbury@stembridgeagency.com
