Your key responsibilities:Implement cost-effective occupational health nursing program on-site in a professional, caring manner to prevent work related injury and illness.Provide effective on site workers’ compensation care and case management services to reduce costs and impacts of disability due to injury and illness of employees.Manage claims processes in coordination with third party carriers and assist/enable workers to return to duty as soon as possible.Develop and implement cost-effective preventive medicine and medical surveillance programs to reduce risk of injury and illness.Advise on employment-related health and medical issues, including light duty/return to work, FMLA and ADA issues.Monitor, evaluate, advise and assist implementation of Employee Assistance, Substance Abuse and related programs; and perform return to work evaluations for employees returning from all work related injuries and illnesses, and non-work related problems where absence exceeds 3 days or involves hospitalization.Evaluate, develop and implement health and wellness promotion programs to improve the health, satisfaction and productivity of employees and their families; and generate referrals to community resources as indicated.Generate and maintain medical and related records, including OSHA injury and illness records.Provides general EHS support: assists EHS department in various teams and committees; makes recommendations to other team members concerning general medical issues; facilitates departmental response to specific medical inquiries.Participates in achieving the company quality goals: dedicated to the spirit and body of continuous improvement; strives for a better understanding of customer requirements; maintains proficiency in problem solving techniques; embraces the concept of teamwork; takes ownership for the quality of services performed; and provides excellent internal and external customer service.Operates in compliance with company safety practices: complies with and aids in the development of departmental safety rules; ensures all equipment is in good working order and operates in a safe manner; follows procedures for handling and disposal of various materials; monitors area for hazards; uses safety equipment when required; and maintains a safe, clean work area.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications
Your qualification profile:A master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or equivalent is required.A current license to practice (RN) and (NP) are required.Certified Occupational Health Nurse certification desired.3 or more years Industrial or Institutional Occupational Nursing experience desired.Supervisory level nursing experience desired.Must possess ability to exercise excellent independent nursing judgment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required.Ability to manage diverse multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines is required.Ability to maintain accurate records and work with minimal supervision is required.Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and similar PC software applications (MSOFFICE) is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
