About the role:We are looking for an experienced

Software Development Engineer

that is energetic, hardworking and can work effectively at all levels of the application stack with relative independence. As a member of our growing team you will help design and develop technology solutions that are scalable, relevant, and critical to our company’s success. If you have an interest in cybersecurity, massive-volume data processing and using analytics for intelligence, then this is the development role for you. You will be working in an Agile environment, and contributing with your ideas, code, testing, and planning skills.

What will you do?Working collaboratively with other software engineers, product managers, project managers and quality assurance engineers to deliver scalable, lasting, Linux-based server technology solutionsResearching, designing, developing, documenting, analyzing, testing, debugging and integrating capabilities into new and existing applicationsVerifying product features are thoroughly implemented, ensuring all requirements are met, using robust technical solutions and only the highest quality coding standardsRemaining up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments and actively sharing that knowledge with other team membersAssist support personnel by investigating customer issues that are escalated to software development on an as-needed and rotated responsibility perspectiveStrong desire to learn new skills and tools as neededFlexibility to adapt to changing instructions and requirements

Required Education and Experience:Equivalent work experience OR Bachelor of Science in Computer Science5+ years experience developing complex software products3+ years of experience in Java server development2+ years building web applications with modern front-end UI technologies like Javascript, Angular, React and Bootstrap1+ years of developing with relational and NoSql databases and integrating this logic within Java servicesStrong understanding of multi-tier web-based applicationsSolid understanding of object-oriented programmingDemonstrable experience authoring and maintaining scripts in multiple languages on multiple platform types. Examples: Bash, Python, PowershellWorking knowledge of Git for version controlExpected to deliver effective results while working independently with minimal supervisionMust be US person and willing and eligible to gain at least secret government clearance

Preferred Experience:Solid working knowledge of Java EE technologies using REST services and JSONExperience using NoSql Database Technology such as Elasticsearch and relational database technology such as PostgresExperience with data streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ and Apache SparkExperience developing with cloud platforms & native technologies such as AWS, Docker and KubernetesExperience with continuous integration/delivery and configuration management tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Terraform)Experience building automated testingExperience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
