Senior Data Scientist w/SAS, Python & SQL – Norfolk, VAThe Data Scientist role will be responsible for turning data into actionable insight to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, make pricing decisions, and improve customer experience. This includes performance evaluations and financial projections. Data scientists use their analytics skills to help design and implement core components of algorithms and models, focusing on applying machine learning techniques to build high-quality intelligent systems integrated with our products.This is a Hybrid position and requires working onsite in our Norfolk office Tuesday-Thursday with the ability to work from home on Fridays and Mondays.Professional Experience, Skills and Qualifications:3 to 5 Years of professional data scientist experience is required.SAS and Python expertise is required.SQL programming in SQL Server or Oracle.Knowledge of deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.Skilled in performing statistical analysis and creating informative visualizations, such as histograms, scatter plots, and line graphs of data.Prior experience managing projects using project management software such as SmartSheet or MS Project is required.Significant experience with common statistical and ML modeling algorithms for supervised regression and classification applications.Significant experience with more advanced ML modeling algorithms for supervised and unsupervised learning.MA/MS degree is preferred or BA/BS in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or quantitative field, with Data Science coursework or training.Job DescriptionSolve business problems by leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches.Ensure data integrity by leveraging proven methodologies, including data reconciliation, data integration, and data audits.Work within the Machine Learning Team to design, code, train, test, deploy, and iterate on large-scale machine learning systems.Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and outcomes.Work with cross-functional teams to explore new ways of finding insights from data and provide recommendations.Identify opportunities for new growth and efficiency based on data analyses.Handle complex issues and problems, applying comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of area of specialty.
