Director, Product StrategyLocation:

Dallas, TXJob Duties:Work with product and engineering leadership for strategic analysis and insights into our product opportunities within existing and potential new markets.Propose product strategies to address customer needs and return disproportionate value to the business.Support long range planning for products to define investment focus and set the course for long term growth.Support the Executive team and Board of Directors with insights and summaries of plans.Serve as Salesforce’s primary point of contact with third-party analyst firms including Gartner & IDC on topics involving Total Addressable Market (TAM) and other market research.Work with the Research and Insights teams to conduct qualitative and quantitative research with customers, account executives, partners, and sales leadership to understand customer needs, perceived value of new product concepts, competitive alternatives, buying behavior and likelihood to buy.Research competitive products and business strategies to settle how to drive unique value and sustainable market advantages.Build financial models to forecast potential revenue and other success metrics for new businesses.Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertisement, Engineering (any field) or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of marketing analysis/product engineering or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertisement, Engineering (any field) or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of marketing analysis/product engineering or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.A related technical degree required (Business Administration, Marketing, Advertisement, Engineering (any field)).Special Skill Requirements:SaaS (software as a service)/Cloud business modelsDelivery of software or hardware technologyRevenue growth & cost optimization strategyMarket and competitor analysisProduct portfolio strategyStrategic Acquisition & divestiture with transactional experienceFinancial statement analysis, and financial modeling using ExcelData analytics & visualizationGTM effectiveness strategyCustomer research & marketing techniquesAny suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
