Job Overview – VP of Accounting and Finance:Join our client’s team in Boston, MA, as the VP of Accounting and Finance. This senior role offers an opportunity to oversee both personal and operational financial reporting, asset management, and income tax compliance and planning.
Compensation:
$150,000 – $180,000/year + bonus
Location:
Boston, MA
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (In Office)
Responsibilities as the VP of Accounting and Finance:
Financial Expertise:
Provide financial planning, reporting, and support for business and financial assets.
Stakeholder Interface:
Engage with banks, lawyers, tax professionals, auditors, investors, investment managers, joint venture partners, and insurance providers.
Performance Monitoring:
Assess the financial performance of assets, including real estate holdings, restaurants, and personal investments.
Asset Valuation:
Develop and maintain market value-based personal financial statements.
Budgeting:
Establish financial and operating budgets and reporting standards.
Process Evaluation:
Evaluate current labor management and payroll systems, recommending and implementing best practices.
Benefits Management:
Manage the 401K plan and other employee benefits in coordination with the Human Resources Manager.
Qualifications for the VP of Accounting and Finance:
Experience:
8-10 years in Accounting and Finance, preferably in a family office or real estate/hospitality group.
Education:
Bachelor’s in accounting or finance (CPA or advanced degree preferred).
Skills:
Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting, financial statements, and cash/investment management.
Knowledge:
Familiar with national and local tax regulations and compliance.
Leadership:
Strong leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
