We are a lean team of 2 engineers for both platforms, and we are looking for an android engineer to join our team. Our remit includes push notifications experience, subscription management for push, email preferences, deep linking, and analytics, install tracking, loyalty management, and notification inbox. We are a complete Kotlin shop, with over 99% of code being modularised. We care about code quality. Our large, and small test code coverage percentage is over 70%, and we will be looking to migrate to compose.Job Requirements3 - 6 years of experience developing Android applications, with deep experience in both Kotlin and JavaDeep experience in unit testing and functional UI testing with JUnit / Espresso as well as using dependency injection with Dagger or HiltExperience with IDEs (e.g. Android Studio), profilers, debuggers, revision control systems (e.g. GIT) and bug tracking (e.g. Jira)Experience with modern clean architecture patterns such as MVC, MVP, MVVM, MVIExperience with Jetpack libraries such as LiveData, DataBinding, ViewModel, etcExperience of working with Jetpack Compose is a plusWell versed in SOLID principlesAbility to collaborate and drive best practices with engineers from numerous teamsExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologiesExperience working with services teams to design optimal mobile services contractsPreferred QualificationsExperience working on large scale applications encompassing dozens of features and > 500k LOCExperience with patterns for achieving feature modularityBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceWhat You Can Expect From UsA collaborative, informal, international and playful work environment with self-organized, multi-disciplinary agile/lean teamsManagers and teammates who are invested in your growth as a technologist and as a personWork with cool modern technologies in a fast-evolving microservices architectureAccess to tools and resources to do your job (best-in-class laptop, IDEs, Safari Online subscription, conferences and meetups, all the coffee and soda you can drink, and much more)
