Team IntroOur User Operations team is focused on bringing a world-class experience to our users. We're looking for a self-motivated data scientist to lead in deepening our understanding of our users' experience through the feedback they provide us and the way they interact with our platform. If large data sets excite you, you have a track record of creating narratives that drive action and you thrive in working through ambiguity, this is the role for you.
ResponsibilitiesBe a technical and strategic partner for the Government Relations team.Create and maintain complex datasets involving derivative user data.Incorporate automation wherever possible to improve data pipelines and analyses.Build and maintain documentation to ensure data accessibility.Create business impact with data and proactively generate insights and solutions for business partners to assist the business in achieving their goals.Review political data with contextual knowledge.
Qualifications
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or above, major in mathematics, statistics, computer science or political science.2+ years working experience in data analysis, experience in applied science.Mastery of Python & SQL.3+ years of experience working in politics (campaigns or advocacy) including polling and survey development.Working knowledge of electoral politics at the federal and state levels.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).Experience with a data visualization tool (e.g. Mode Analytics/Chartio/Tableau/Qlikview).Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Job Information:Compensation Description (annually)The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $101000 - $168800 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life. We offer the following benefits to eligible employees:We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account(HSA) with a company match.
