Do you thrive in a multi-team environment where different teams contribute towards microservices that form a data platform?We are looking for a hands-on Data Platform DevOps engineer in the Group Compliance & Regulatory Governance (GCRG) Technology team to:implement and deliver high-quality DevOps solutions for our new state-of-the-art AI model deployment and execution platform using technologies like GitLab, ADO, Terraform to deliver services such as Databricks, Kubernetes, Postgres, Azure Data Factory, Azure Cognitive Searchprovide DevOps tools and process Subject Matter Expertise to our team and be the DevOps expert in our teamact as resident Azure cloud expert in the development team and liaise with other Azure Cloud and SRE teams for Azure related activities/issuesensure seamless continuous integration and deployment practicesdrive automation initiatives to improve development, infra provisioning and release processesYour teamYou’ll be working in the GCRG AI Data and Analytics IT team based in Weehawken. Our team is building a comprehensive data platform with both cloud-based applications and in-house microservices that enable data patterns into the data lake. Eventually, the Data Platform enables the data strategy for Reporting, Analytics, AI, and Data Science platform. Our applications are integrated with other systems in UBS, so it's important that in this role, you will be able to collaborate with other IT teams located across the globe. You’ll combine your technical vision, analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive the design, development, and implementation of big data systems. You’ll translate business requirements into the appropriate data models, processing frameworks, and data workflows that can integrate disparate data sources into an enterprise data lake. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside other talented engineers, CTO, and data scientists on cutting-edge big data, search, machine learning, and analytics problems.Your expertise
a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Scienceideally 5+ years of hands-on design and development experience in several of the relevant technology areas (GitLab, Terraform, Azure, ADO, Azure Data Lake, Azure Kubernetes Service, Spark, Databricks etc.)designed, implemented, and maintained CI/CD and IaC pipelinesexperience with Java or Scala or Python would be a strong advantagea strong understanding of the software development lifecycle – working in an Agile (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.) environmentexcellent written and verbal communication skillsbackground in Financial Services domain would be an advantageAbout UsUBS is the world’s largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
