Overview:
Software America, Inc. in Melville, NY is seeking a Senior IT Systems Architect (Architect, Systems CSA). The Senior IT Systems Architect will define technical standards and design specifications for a specialized technical area. This individual will be working with both the U.S. and Japanese teams to summarize requirements and develop systems. Provides creative and effective solutions to problems and assists in the development of policies and procedures. Has a thorough knowledge of the functional area, works independently and interacts with peer-level employees across Canon. May provide input into establishing annual objectives for the function.
This position is full-time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in-office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
Become a member of the operation team for a Canon USA ERP system called S21.
As a team member of our IT division, the operation team executes the following tasks:
Management
System monitoring
Inquiry correspondence
System Operation
Environment management
Defect correspondence
Enhancement
Configuration management
In the event of a failure, analyze the impact of the system, and take a prompt provisional response. If necessary, consider the necessity of a permanent response and give instructions to the development team.
Work with the infrastructure team to resolve issues related to infrastructure failures.
Interact with users for enhancements, prepare specifications, and give instructions to the development team.
Work in cooperation with the Japanese offshore team.
Responsible for the operational design, implementation, configuration, management, and use of information systems that will adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization.
Analyze system requirements and evaluate the needs of one or more functional areas within the ERP system to coordinate, implement, and communicate business needs into technical requirements.
Define system architecture including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols.
Ensure that architecture project roll-outs meet security standards and are effectively integrated with current applications.
Work on complex technical and business matters.
Educate others in the workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by ERP modules.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 7 years of related experience.
Sales management experience.
Financial/Accounting experience a plus.
Oracle 11g / 12g / 19c databases with thorough hands-on experience in SQL, PL/SQL.
Linux and Shell scripting knowledge.
Autosys Job Schedulers.
Hands-on experience with Java, JSP, J2EE.
Knowledge of the IBM Integration Bus introduction is a plus.
Operation/Implementation of Sales Management System.
Excellent written and oral communication skills between English and Japanese are required.
