The Data Engineer will play a key role in delivering fairlife's ambition of building a best-in-class Data and Decision Intelligence (DDI) ecosystem. This role will support the digital transformation of our manufacturing operation, translating technical requirements from our factories into targeted solutions that fit into fairlife's broader data framework, roadmap and architecture. This role will be responsible for supporting the extract, transform, and load processes of our IIoT and enterprise data.

The ideal candidate would not only have a passion for data and software development but also a deep appreciation for manufacturing and engineering principles.Responsibilities:

Integration of factory data into on-premise and cloud-based Azure IoT tools to support the reliable, consistent consumption of real time dataDesign, implement, and operationalize data pipelines to support the data lifecycle for our factory IIoT dataDesign, develop, and deliver the platforms and tools needed for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of factory IIoT dataSupport the development and delivery of a Unified Data Model for our factories and the fairlife enterprisePartner with manufacturing stakeholders to ensure data validity and platform buy-inSupport delivery of a master data solution for IIoT and enterprise dataDesign and deliver solutions to support real-time factory data streaming, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenanceWorking closely with 3rd party data architects and internal data team to develop deep understanding of our data ecosystemProvide training and support the technical development of fellow team membersSkills/Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in data/computer science, an engineering discipline, or relatedProficiency in SQLProficiency in at least one object-oriented language (Python, Java, C#, etc.)Experience with Git or other source controlDetail oriented self-starter, with a growth mindset and a passion for dataAbility to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environmentPreferred:

Internship or work experience in manufacturingExperience with Python data structures and data science libraries (pandas, numpy, sklearn, etc.)Experience with telemetry or time-series data sourcesExperience with any cloud framework (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)Familiar with pipeline automation and unit testingFamiliar with data streaming/integration tools (message brokers, WebSockets, REST APIs, etc.)Position Location:
