AT A GLANCE
The Optum Now team is building a consumer-focused platform for healthcare. On this team you will work with modern technologies to integrate health information, coaching, marketplace, provider information into a consumer-focused web application to empower people to manage their health and fully utilize the benefits available to them.As a team member you will work with other engineering teams across the organization to design and implement bespoke integrations with the various products and technologies in the RVO Health suite. You’ll be responsible for retrieving and aggregating data from a variety of applications, and serving it to the consumer in a way that is useful, informative, and delightful. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of designers to craft web experiences that engage and empower our users with information about how to use their health benefits, manage chronic conditions, connect with providers, with the goal of helping them live healthier lives.Where You'll Be
To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Atlanta office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. Design and develop product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholdersCollaborate with product and IT stakeholders to build an understanding of systems or APIs involved in integrationsRecommend and implement complex integrated solutions that fulfill business requirements and align with technology roadmapsEnsure that all delivered solutions adhere to industry best practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portabilityWork with a cross-functional product team to architect applications that meet business requirements and adhere to technical standardsEnsure high quality deliverables by demonstrating leadership in code reviews and test practicesBe aware of current security trends and tools, and advocate for the incorporation of new security technologies as requirements evolveChampion well-written code and technical documentationWork with product owners, product managers, and other stakeholders to groom & solution featuresProvide accurate and timely estimates for features, user stories, and tasksContribute to defining technical roadmaps; identify technical improvement and refactoring opportunitiesWork with geographically distributed Agile teamsParticipate in rotational on-call schedules as neededWork outside of standard office hours as needed and, on occasion, support night-time releasesWhat We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent experience5+ years of fullstack Javascript experience, including modern frameworks such as NodeJS, ReactJS, AngularJS, etc.3+ years of experience integrating with RESTful APIs1+ years experience developing for and deploying to a cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformExperience designing systems with an emphasis on performance, scalability, accessibility, and responsivenessAbility to scope and prioritize tasks on ambiguous and complex technical projects.Curiosity and growth mindset to learn new technologies to solve interesting problems.Compensation and Benefits
