What You Will Do

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is the subject matter expert for infrastructure and cloud operations issues. The SRE will design full-stack cloud technology solutions in collaboration with application development teams, take ownership of existing technology solutions, and recommend improvements. SREs develop, lead, and optimize the peer review process for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The role will also write code, test, and execute or orchestrate pipelines into production based on customer specifications.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for infrastructure and cloud operations to resolve or escalate as appropriate.Design full-stack cloud technology solutions in collaboration with application development teams, in alignment with vision established by technology and product leaders.Take ownership of existing technology solutions, design and proactively collaborate with key stakeholders that increase efficiency, and recommend improvements that increase resiliency, automation, and reduce manual effort.Develop, lead, and optimize the peer review process for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), maintain in a code repository, and build CI/CD pipelines focused on application layer. IaC tools include Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, CDK, bash, TypeScript, Python, and other applicable tools.Write code, test, and execute or orchestrate pipelines into production based on customer specifications.Lead the implementation of additional tools and processes that maintain an automation-first approach to infrastructure and middleware management.Work with teams to understand existing infrastructure state and assist in achieving the next step forward.Help create roadmaps to sunset, replace, and decommission legacy implementations as new capabilities are introduced.Integrate agile approach to application support that helps build, test, deploy, and monitor applications with speed, quality, and control.

What You Will Need

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post high school education and/or work-related experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field8+ Years operation and maintenance experience6+ Years of AWS experienceProven ability to develop and maintain multi-region AWS workloads using infrastructure as code and CI/CD techniquesAbility to proficiently operate and maintain workloads using Amazon S3, Amazon RDS SQL Server, DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, Amazon Simple Notification Service, AWS EventBridge, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Python, TypeScript, and related toolsAll Infrastructure and Code deliverables will be maintained using AWS CDK, Typescript, and a GitLab CI/CD pipeline; Proficiency with these technologies is required
