Demonstrated experience preparing civil pleadings, motions and discovery and deposing witnessesDemonstrated litigation experienceSolid knowledge and understanding of rules of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction in which they practiceSolid knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance lawThis position is considered for a Full-Time Remote work arrangement in the Greater Atlanta Metro areaResponsibilities

Personally handles or manages litigation of a most complex nature involving either the corporation and / or its insured within established corporate guidelines, applicable standards of good faithAnalyzes file as litigation progressesEvaluates cases and seeks settlement as necessaryConducts discovery (e.g. written interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and depositions)Conducts motion practiceDrafts all necessary pleadings, papers and briefs to advance litigationConducts necessary research in support of drafting activitiesAdvocates client position in all forums (state and federal court, alternative dispute resolution, administrative tribunals and regulatory hearings) and circumstances, both formal and informalStays current on state statutes and court decisions and analyzes how statutes and court decisions affect the interpretation and enforceability of the various policy provisionsMay have or develop areas of specialty practice (e.g. special property, workers compensation, environmental law, commercial coverage)Work that primarily involves sitting / standingBenefits
