The Business Analyst will report to the manager of the IT Operational Applications Business Analyst team within Talcott Resolution, working closely with both our technology employees and vendor partners to ensure that the design and development of business solutions and automation needs are delivered in a quality and timely fashion. Talcott Resolution’s Operational Applications IT environment consists primarily of home-grown applications leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle PL/SQL (RDBMS on ExaCS), Oracle Fusion Middleware, Java, and J2EE technologies. This is an opportunity for an individual with a passion for understanding business problems and developing creative solutions on business-critical systems. This position requires an individual with strong business analysis, leadership, and communication skills. This role will work on a wide variety of systems initiatives that include both project and maintenance work.Primary Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a solid working knowledge of the associated application portfolio.Serve as the main liaison between the customer and the technical resources on projects.Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the solution design end to end.Own and oversee all aspects of requirement documentation including requirements elicitation, alignment to standards, and developing strategies to improve these processes.Document, create, and execute test strategy and test conditions.Enforce adherence to the Talcott software development lifecycle and security policies.Manage own tasks within assignments around project work, production support, and maintenance plan(s).Qualifications

2-3 years’ experience performing business analysis in a variety of situations.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.Individual annuity knowledge and experience.Demonstrated experience with gathering requirements, testing, and quality assurance methodologies.Experience using SQL to gather, verify, manipulate, and test data.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate with business users in non-technical terms and to explain the impacts of system changes to business partners.Analytical approach with a strong ability to uncover and resolve problems and deliver effective approaches and solutions.Views challenges as growth opportunities, not problems.Excellent time management skills.Ability to set and manage project priorities effectively in a dynamic organization.Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with peers and work as part of a high performing large team.Effective listener, who gives timely and constructive feedback and is willing to challenge the status quo and state opinions assertively.Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus.Compensation

The annualized base pay range is mainly based on an evaluation of comparable positions in the external market. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott’s total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:$72,000 - $85,000
