This is a great opportunity for a Software DevOps Lead Engineer interested in providing key contributions in a growing business. As a member of the Data Science Software R&D Team in the Advanced Compute Solutions (ACS) group, you will help deliver world-class hardware and software solutions to data science customers via a variety of software and cloud platforms.This position is located in Fort Collins, CO; San Diego, CA; Houston, TX;Responsibilities
Define, document, and deliver a multi-year Software DevOps Strategy Plan and Software DevOps Execution Plan.Lead the DevOps team by providing technical guidance and training as well as fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.Prepare, maintain, and implement comprehensive policies and technical documentation of best practices for all implemented system configurations ensuring efficient planning and execution.Design, implement, and manage automated build pipeline, deployments, and configurations using CI/CD pipelines in AWS for applications and services.Build and release tools to be used by software engineering teams for reliable and repeatable cloud deployments.Create and maintain infrastructure for local, on-premises and cloud applications monitoring, logging, and alerting.Implement abstractions to simplify the complexities of cloud providers (AWS in particular), open-source technologies (Kubernetes in particular), and internal infrastructure.Respond to real-time scaling and operational challenges.Proactively monitor the health of the environment and act on fixing any issues and improve the performance of environments.Manage multiple environments using proper access controls and processes to maintain environment integrity.Follow security policies and best practices for the infrastructure and products.Work with developers to ensure best practices and proper utilization of resources to control AWS cloud hosting costs.Ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and uptime of the systems/subsystems/software applications in local, network and cloud-based platforms.Support the commitments to risk management, protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data as well as archiving and retention practices.Collaborate and communicate with management and internal partners regarding software projects progress, and issue resolution.Represent the DevOps Team on all larger and more-complex development projects.Qualifications
Knowledge, experience, and expertise in different areas of Software DevOps allowing to prepare, manage, and deliver on Software DevOps Strategy Plan and Software DevOps Operational/Execution Plan.Strong knowledge in deployment of cloud-based services, architectures, and platforms.Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Route53, Lambda, Cloud Formation,…).Strong knowledge with two or more: Python 3.x, Go lang, JavaScript, Terraform.Proficiency with using and debugging networks, DNS, HTTP, TLS, load-balancing, build systems, and containers.In-depth understanding of SDLC, branching strategies, source control (GitHub, etc.).Knowledge of Agile/Scrum Software Development methodology.People leadership skills including interpersonal, teamwork, mentoring, technical development, motivational, and communication.Skills
5+ years of strong hands-on experience with AWS platform services & tools (EC2, S3, Route53, Lambda, Cloud Formation,…).Strong hands-on end-to-end CI/CD pipeline implementation experience (specifically in AWS).5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux OS (Ubuntu is a plus).4+ years of hands-on experience in containerization and orchestration as well as in provisioning Kubernetes clusters.Strong experience in three or more of the following scripting environments: Bash, Shell, Python, Perl, PHP, & PowerShell.Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum Software Development process & tools – ADO, GitHub,….5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and noSQL platforms (MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB,…).Familiarity with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.Education And Experience Required

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $118,050.00 - $160,000.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity.
