Role OverviewThis role will operate within the DevSecOps group across two capability areas (Observability & Hosting and Developer Pipelines) and work cross-functionally within our groups as well as across the organization. This role will provide technical architecture, hands-on implementation, and mentoring/guidance within our teams to increase adoption of our platform services and reduce duplication of effort in the DevOps space. This role will be moving back and forth across our stack; understanding legacy components and helping set the path for those to be modernized as well as entirely new technologies that have organization-wide impact. Enabling migration to the cloud and “day 2” operations for teams across our org will be a major part of this role with a customer-enablement mindset.

Responsibilities

Work within and across engineering teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support new and improved technical architecture across many domains.Understand current systems/architecture and shape the golden path into the cloud, using cloud-native, SaaS, and in-house software.Mentor team members within areas of expertise to increase the team’s overall skill level.Work with internal teams on proof of concepts for new technologies with a goal of org-wide implementation.Troubleshoot large scale incidents alongside other technology teams involving our platform services.Drive to reduce duplicate toolsets/experiences and increase use of common tooling.Qualifications, Skills, Experience

Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science (or similar) or equivalent work experience (6-10 years).Deep understanding of modern container-based software deployment and architecture patterns.Ability to dive deeply into existing tech stack and guide how to break it up/modernize it.Familiarity with networking, routing, DNS, and load balancing concepts.Ability to act as a leader in executing technical projects.Experience in managing resources in a public cloud required, Azure preferred.Experience with automation/IaC tooling like Terraform (or similar).Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.Passion for staying up-to-date on technology trends.Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are helpful.Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time for this position.This is a Hybrid position.
