Responsible for protecting and enforcing intellectual property (IP) company-wide, including managing the company’s patent portfolio, overseeing the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, advising business units regarding IP rights, conducting IP due diligence, supervising outside counsel, drafting and reviewing license agreements, and implementing best practices for managing IP.What You'll Do:

Patents

Manage company patent portfolioPatent prosecution, including managing outside counselAssess risk associated with threat of litigation for patent infringementManage company patent incentive program and submit invention disclosures to internal Patent CommitteeAssist with management of patent litigationTechnology related transactions:

Create/review/edit agreements including Master Service Agreements and Statements of WorkCoding/system development agreementsCloud computing and SaaS agreementsData and Software license and integration agreementsIT procurement/maintenance agreementsNon-disclosure agreementsTerms of Use provisionsWhat You'll Need:

Education:

Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association required.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or electrical engineering preferred.Registration as a patent attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required.Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of professional legal experience required.Strong working knowledge of current patent law required.Experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.Other:

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Ability to work under minimal supervision.Ability to multitask and prioritize workload under tight deadlines.Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.Ability to work well as a team member.Skills in Microsoft Office Suite.Location:
