Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional partners like traders and quants to enhance existing strategies and infrastructure or build new systems entirely from the ground up.Projects can span low-latency distributed platforms, real-time data messaging, exchange integration, automation tools, and large-scale data processing.Research, propose technical solutions, and deliver robust, high-performance software into a modern C++17/20 production environment.Work closely with other teams including front office, operations, pricing, exchange access, risk management, and quality assurance.Qualifications
Hands-on experience with modern C++ (v17/20 ideal).Multi-threaded and distributed systems skills.Strong analytical and communication abilities.Low latency development expertise.Financial markets domain knowledge (nice to have).Messaging and scalable platform experience (nice to have).Our client is an industry-leading proprietary trading firm managing over $20 billion in assets and is currently expanding their teams in Chicago.
