VideoAmp, Inc. seeks Data Scientists II in Los Angeles, CA.Duties:Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.Analyze user profile clusters to investigate dynamics and patterns to enhance company's products with new features.Use computational tools such as MATLAB/Octave, R, SQL, and programming languages including but not limited to Python and Scala on a daily basis to produce algorithms used for analysis, forecasting, and reporting.Execute complex SQL queries of large data tables efficiently.Obtain, scrub, explore, model and interpret data currently stored in VideoAmp databases using SQL and other comparable data mining tools.Analyze, visualize, and model viewership data from different TV data sources, including OTT, cable, and internet audiences.Conduct comparative analysis of various consumer TV datasets.Implement behavioral analysis in digital and TV universes to establish predictive viewership models.Develop machine learning models and predictive algorithms for viewership forecasting for specific segments.Evaluate models to assess feasibility issues.Develop an understanding of the customer's data environment through data profiling and statistical analyses.Design and develop analysis techniques that uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies in large scale data using regression analysis, queue modeling, machine learning, and neural networks.Process and analyze large data sets to discern meaningful trends and relationships.Track dynamic and seasonal changes in different targeting audiences.Develop professional grade models to optimize advertising outcomes, employing statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques.Create recommendation systems and user graphs based on analysis.Define data structures for maximum effectiveness.Utilize data science and development skills to automate manual analytic processes, generate analytic models, and enable analysts to exploit data holdings.Establish advanced analysis and data visualization methodologies, models, and tools to derive intelligence outcomes and impacts.Identify and propose Data Science solutions for various product initiatives.Design and build predictive customer behavior models for targeting and personalization.Implement the applicable Machine Learning or statistics-based algorithm for prediction and optimization and deliver the trained model to production.Present findings to the product team and technical team leads in a clear and actionable way.Establish and meet rigorous security and information assurance requirements for collection, storage, and management.

Minimum Requirements:Requires a Doctorate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or other scientific field. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or other scientific field and 2 years of experience in lieu of a Doctorate degree. Requires any amount of experience with the following: data analysis; Modeling and Machine Learning techniques; teaching and communicating advanced concepts; programming with a scripting language (such as Python, R, Matlab, Java, Mathematica); and probability and statistics competency.
