Department Overview
The Video Solutions team comprises Sales, Project Management, System Engineering, and System Technologist personnel working together in a high-performance culture, often with demanding cycle times and high customer expectations because we are working on mission critical communication systems. Our core customers use a large complex network focused around real-time video for public safety situational awareness. The systems are comprised of multiple communication technologies and media types. The role will focus on the deployment and documentation of video solutions for these systems.

Essential Job DutiesEfficiently manage projects or site installations at varied stages.Must have System Integration experience or extensive knowledge in the industry standards for low voltage installations and video solution deployments.Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with the project team, senior management, and stakeholders.Work with internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope/schedule/cost, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.Attend contractor meetings representing the security interests of our client and the defined scope of work.Be able to clarify the specific requirements of each project.Track subcontractor and project or site installations performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term project tasks and milestones.Maintain construction schedule and coordinate scheduling with other trades or direct subcontractors.Maintain current job plans and specifications.Proactively work with the project team to ensure timely project procurement, billing, and project cost vs. revenue tracking.Maintain all records and required items using the project defined Project Management Information System.Present a professional image of Motorola Solutions when speaking to customers.Use and continually develop professional and leadership skills.Be able to travel to customer locations throughout North America, subcontractor offices, project offices or warehouses for meetings, site walks, vendor meetings, or other assigned tasks by project lead.Must have the ability to work remotely without major disruption and distraction. Will be required to join video meetings and conference calls with both internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:1-3 years of project management experience in an IT, security, construction installation/integrator environment.Pass background check.Motorola Video Security product knowledge (Vigilant, Avigilon, Pelco, AVA) and Experience Strongly Preferred.PMP Credential preferred.Experience with process improvement and inventory control.Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.Advanced time management and analytical skills.Excellent client-facing communication skills.
Experience with the following strongly desired:Smartsheet.Visio.Bluebeam.Lucid Chart.MS Office Suite.Google Business Suite.Adobe PDF.Avigilon Control Center.Avigilon System Design Tool.
Candidate must be able and willing to travel 50%+.This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Basic Requirements1-3 years of project management experience in an IT, security, construction installation/integrator environment.Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
