Senior Portfolio Accountant: Investment Firm/Venture Capital (100% remote. Local candidates only)Do you have 2-6 years of investment accounting, audit or finance experience? ONLY LOCAL (Massachusetts) CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED. The firm does have two offices in the Boston area that they use for meetings, onboarding, training and for employees needing to use a workspace. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Base salary $90,000-$140,000+, bonus and 100% of health/medical benefits paid for by the firm.Newly created Senior Portfolio Accountant position within a Boston-based venture capital/investment firm started almost ten years ago. The company is thriving and experiencing tremendous growth and success! They are looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented individual to join their growing Finance team. This person will be a member of a four-person Finance team which is responsible for all accounting, record keeping, investment valuations, partner allocations, audit and tax filings, investor relations/reporting and database management for 25+ entities (funds and SPVs). Fund Accounting is being outsourced.Responsibilities:

Perform quarterly close process including valuationsOversight of daily cash managementProcess investor capital activity, income allocations, and feesCoordination of capital calls/distributionsCollaborate with and manage outsourced fund administratorDesign scalable, repeatable, and adaptable processes through automation and/or implementation of new applicationsAssist with annual US GAAP financial statement preparation and audit processAct as a liaison to the Investment teamOnboarding new investors including review of Sub docs and assist with overseeing KYC compliancePerform other special projects as requestedDemonstrate understanding of US tax reporting including K-1 reviewsAssist with Management Company accounting and reportingQualifications:
