The Search E-Commerce team is responsible for the search algorithm for TikTok's rapidly growing global e-commerce business. We use state-of-the-art large-scale machine learning technology to build the industry's top-class search engine to provide the best e-commerce search experience for more than 1 billion monthly active TikTok users around the world.Responsibilities - What You'll Do

Improve the basic search quality and user experience: Optimize query analysis and text relevance matching. Understand e-commerce video content and implement multi-modal matching. Improve users' perception of product authority, and deeply participate in the design and implementation of core search products.Design and implement the end-to-end ranking system: Use massive behavioral data to deeply model users' personalized shopping interests. Improve the shopping conversion efficiency for merchandise, video, and live stream to promote GMV growth.Promote the healthy development of the ecosystem: Solve challenging problems such as supply and demand matching, business cold start, and sustainable business growth.In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department.Qualifications

Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.Industry work experience in machine learning. Good product sense with a focus on user experience.Solid coding skills and knowledge of data structure and algorithms.Excellent in analysis, modeling, and problem-solving.Publication records in top journals or conferences will be a plus. Compensation Description (annually)The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194,000 - $355,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location.Our company benefits are designed to create an efficient and inspiring work environment. We offer the following benefits to eligible employees:100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents.10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) and 10 paid sick days per year.12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability.401K company match, gym and cellphone service reimbursements.
