Job Summary

Morton Salt, Inc. is seeking an energetic and dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. As a Human Resources Generalist, the jobholder will support the HR department by assisting with recruiting, employee onboarding, employee relations, employee file management, and HRIS entry. This role is for a professional who is well-organized and flexible with excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to employee onboarding, offboarding, record keeping, benefits administration, and employee relations.Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to identify staffing needs, participate in recruitment efforts, conduct interviews, and support the selection process to attract and retain top talent.Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies, and actively contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Assist with HR metrics and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.Understand and apply applicable employment standards, requirements and legislation for consistency, compliance and efficiency within the organization.Assist and support all HR activities/other duties as needed.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in an HR related field.1-3 years progressive HR experience required, including recruiting.Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.Knowledge and understanding of HR best practices and labor laws.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to build relationships with employees, management, and external stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in HRIS systems and other HR-related software applications.Ability to travel, if required.
