Position Summary

Responsible for the overall management of the TRIO Talent Search office to include typing editing, and proofreading documents, maintaining records in the database, maintaining documentation in participant files, maintaining and requesting supplies and answering and directing phone system.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Microsoft SuiteProficiency in word processing and database systems and knowledge of common office equipment, knowledge of computer network systems, graphic design, and the operation of various social media outlets.

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

Management and overseeing of offices for 3 federally funded grants which includes planning and organizing administrative and clerical work requiring knowledge of TRIO Student Support Services, SSS STEM-H (new) and McNair Scholars. To include requisitioning materials and supplies and accurate inventory of items. NEW: Platform management of student management. Collecting and processing all applications files and input and maintenance of electronic database.

Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities

Typing editing, and proofreading documents attending and taking minutes at staff meetings, preparing correspondences and other documents from rough draft to final proofreading for for proper format accuracy, completeness of proper routing of all copies.

Percentage of time 15 Duties/Responsibilities

Coordinating clerical support for professional staff including 3 (new) program coordinators, receiving and screening mail, making arrangements for meetings with UGA staff, faculty and academic departments, potential and current students, and upper administrators as needed. Working with all target school staff and administrators.

Percentage of time 15 Duties/Responsibilities

Maintaining and overseeing the accuracy and maintenance of 3 (new) program electronic databases and hard copy files for federally funded grants that are used for reporting to USDE and state and federal resources, which include confidential files and information.

Percentage of time 15 Duties/Responsibilities

Input of vouchers and vendors and purchase requests and staff travel.

Percentage of time 10 Duties/Responsibilities

Making arrangements for workshops, and conferences, preparing agenda items for meetings and follow-up on action items.
