CPI Security, a leader in security and automation systems is hiring a IT QA Analyst

for our team in our Charlotte, North Carolina market.

This will be a member of IT Application Delivery responsible for Quality Assurance testing of applications and systems. Active throughout requirements and development lifecycle; studies and improves process, product, and roadmap. Involved in User Experience design and verification.

Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and document manual test casesDevelop regression and smoke testing scripts UX/accessibility testingExecute manual tests, analyze requirements, and report detailed defectsConduct Functional UI Testing (black box), Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Exploratory TestingBasic data (SQL) validationBasic API payload (payloads and headers) validationContribute to requirements discussions and project planningEnsure end product meets or exceeds user expectationsCoordinate UATIdentify automation cases in test planSome automation capability; recording, basic scriptingCompetencies

Attention to detailQuality documentationCommunicate effectively with IT and businessGood understanding of business processesProactive; identifies risks and mitigation approachesProficient with project tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, )Experience in Salesforce or other CRMUnderstand basic relational DB conceptsCan write basic T-SQL queries (select, from, where, joins)Understand native web capabilitiesExpectations

Provide daily updates of current projects/statuses to teamWork independently with minimal guidance on assigned workSee projects/assigned worked through start to finishTake the initiative to solve problems and unblock themselvesCollaborate with other engineering team members and business stakeholdersKeep up with industry trends and best practicesPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is not required.

Preferred Education and Experience

BS degree or 4+ years relevant experienceFour (4) or more years of progressive experience as a QA Tester or Analyst.Primary QA for multiple small- to medium-sized projects
