As part of the Procurement Value Management (PVM) Function, the IT Sourcing team's primary objective is developing and implementing sourcing and category management strategies through a variety of procurement tools and best practices including spend analysis, market analysis and business intelligence, requirements gathering, and relationship management. IT Sourcing builds relationships with Bank and System stakeholders and suppliers. In addition, IT Sourcing supports the full strategic sourcing lifecycle (business strategy, technical requirements, RFXs, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations) on all relevant acquisition activity. In addition, the IT Sourcing team supports the advancement of Bank supplier diversity initiatives.
Your role as Director of IT Sourcing:
If you are an experienced, strategic, and innovative procurement / sourcing leader with an inclusive leadership style, we invite you to apply for the Director of IT Sourcing position! In this highly visible role across the Bank and Federal Reserve System, the position will lead category management and sourcing strategy teams for IT related spend across the Bank coupled with creating and expanding deep and impactful partnerships with Bank and System key stakeholders. The role will require you to establish and implement a client engagement framework to optimize procurement influence, and provide procurement subject matter expertise on complex, high-risk acquisitions that have a significant impact on achieving Bank objectives. In addition, the role will require you to champion and maintain relevant policies and procedures, provide proactive coaching and leadership to a team of procurement professionals while identifying and executing departmental process improvement initiatives.
You will also bring a highly collaborative enterprise mindset, proactively engaging with colleagues across the Procurement Value Management teams and leaders throughout the Bank and System, driving accountability and leadership in advancing towards the desired outcomes.

- Leads staff in delivering category management and sourcing strategies across IT related spend
- Apply and foster the use and ownership of procurement tools and best practices
- Build deep and influential relationships with stakeholders, including Bank business line clients and partners (i.e., Legal, Compliance, Information Security), other Federal Reserve System and industry counterparts, and suppliers
- Champion and maintain all relevant policies, procedures, metrics and measures
- Manages department that includes experienced professionals
- Sets the vision and develops strategy for the long-term achievement of results
- Has direct budget influence and accountability for their area of responsibility
- Communicates with those within and outside their area of responsibility as well as external parties (like customers or vendors or System and Board counterparts)
