Sr. Director of Finance

The Sr. Director of Finance, ensures the optimal financial operations and positioning of the organization; whose primary responsibility is for the financial management of the agency, including planning, budgeting, financial operations and reporting, compliance, accounting and investments, and risk management and safety.

  • Directing MCHS's budgeting; establishes financial policies and procedures; monitor and analyze operations and results; develop and prepare reports; counsel and direct others.
  • Direct all activities of the Finance department; manage the work of the department staff; develop department goals and objectives.
  • Assist with all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to the CFO based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
  • Oversee the risk management and safety programs, ensuring protection of organizational assets and the health and safety of clients, employees, volunteers, and others.


Education and Experience Requirements:

A seasoned and mature leader with broad finance experience, ideally beginning in audit, followed by experience gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior administrative teams. They will ideally have experience managing all financial (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) operations of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university and at least ten (10) years of experience, or
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university and at least six (6) years of experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred)
