SUMMARY:Under general supervision, the User Experience (UX) Designer helps deliver the best in user experiences, content, and digital campaigns. This position designs ideas, builds layouts, creates digital content, and uses research to provide high level user experiences.This job is located in Birmingham, AL and is a hybrid role. You must be eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.Job DutiesConducts testing of sample applications, websites, and landing pages.Uses recent research and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experience.Builds storyboards to conceptualize designs to accurately convey project plans.Creates surveys for research through various media platforms to gather feedback on user's ease of use and satisfaction.Collaborates and communicates with Graphic and Digital teams on marketing campaigns.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with business goals and objectives.Designs high-quality user interfaces based on customer needs that function across various devices and viewports; Creates wireframes, mockups, prototypes to communicate concepts and solutions to stakeholders.Clearly communicates designs and specs to engineering team, ensuring technical feasibility and implementation; reviews and tests designs/features implemented by engineering team.Maintains consistent visual standards established in Design System and keep living Design System and documentation up to date.Performs other duties as assigned.Education & ExperienceTypically requires a bachelor's degree and one (1) to three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesProficient in Figma, Zeplin, and Adobe Creative Cloud.Knowledge of Usability Factors in Human-Computer Interaction.Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Zeplin, Adobe XD).Knowledge of and experience using Design Systems and component libraries.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to discuss and explain design options.Detail-oriented.Critical thinker.Problem solver and customer-centered.Understanding experience website design processes.Experience using landing page tools such as Unbounce and CMS sites like WordPress.Familiarity with front-end development tools/frameworks (e.g. HTML, CSS, Bootstrap).Experience working in agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe.Portfolio showcasing related work and design skills.LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:UI/UX certification such as Google UX Design Cert or similar a plus or Certification in design thinking, UX research and usability testing, accessibility or similar a plus.
