is responsible for supporting and equipping our Product Design and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of our accessible digital products. This person will be supporting all aspects of integrating accessibility into design and deployment:Responsibilities:Partner with Accessibility Design team in building A11y into Product Design by:Helping understand how users experience products using Assistive TechnologyParticipating in and contribute in Accessible Design DecisionsIdentifying how design intent affects A11y Acceptance Criteria (AC)Partner with Engineering teams during development ensuring A11y AC is being metEnsuring feature functionality has A11y AC written / availableHelping engineers understand the A11y ACAnswering technical how-to questions for A11y in Web, iOS & Android developmentHelping engineers test and validate A11y AC.Support 3rd-Party Audits by:Reviewing 3rd-Party findings, test resultsRe-test, verify reported findings if reported issue is questionableCreate A11y user stories, defects for A11y findingsHelp triage, prioritize A11y issues with product and provide A11y context, guidance on how to remediate A11y findings.Analyze validation test results looking for:Training opportunitiesEngineering methods needing correctionComponents needing A11y refinementsProcesses lacking appropriate A11y support.Attend relevant stand-ups/status meetings and communications to:Bring a depth of development and technical knowledge that complements and strengthens a culture beginning to apply A11y practices in design, engineering and QAApply accessibility knowledge to a wide range of client digital properties including but not limited to responsive websites, mobile applications, hybrids and digital documentsStay up-to-date on current and existing trends in the accessibility spacePartner with Design A11y, Design System teams and Engineering A11y Leads to develop, promote the adoption and integration of accessibility policies, procedures, and standards.Ideally prefer someone from NJ area, however we are open to other Digital office locations in the US and work in hybrid/remote model.Required Qualifications:5+ years of relevant work experience including testing with all common screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, MAC/IOS VoiceOver, TalkBack), keyboard only, and other assistive technology.5+ years of ability to interpret and advise on standards, principles and techniques for meeting accessibility success criteria (including WCAG 2.0 AA, WCAG 2.1 AA, and WAI-ARIA)5+ years of experience with Responsive Web Design and mobile apps2+ years of experience in agile, supporting products in a SAFe environment specifically how current/future work is scheduled to come through planning, design, engineering and 3rd-party validation efforts5+ years of experience in Rally, Teams, Confluence or any other project management tools.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to train and coach colleagues on various accessibility topicsAbility to partner with various cross-functional teams for direction and consistencyProviding leadership on individual projects/tasks when necessaryUnderstanding the overlap between user experience and accessibilityAbility to analyze (Android, iOS, web) code and employ problem-solving skills to recommend best solutionKnowledge of mobile accessibility best practices on Android and iOSEducation:Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)Pay Range:The typical pay range for this role is: $92,700.00 - $185,400.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
