The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Assistant Professor to work as an Oculofacial Plastic and Orbital Surgery specialist in our growing academic ophthalmology practice at the Sue Anschutz Rodgers Eye Center (SAREC). The position will provide outpatient and inpatient medical and surgical management of ophthalmic plastic and orbital disorders at SAREC and affiliate sites of practice within the Denver metropolitan area.Posting Description

This position will be responsible for direct outpatient and inpatient medical and surgical management of ophthalmic plastic and orbital disorders at the Sue Anschutz Rodgers Eye Center and affiliate sites of practice. The position will be responsible for developing a robust oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery practice as well as a commitment to resident teaching and basic or clinical research.Professional Field

MD with approved residency training in ophthalmology including fellowship training in Oculofacial Plastic and Orbital Surgery.Supervision Received

The position will report directly to Eric Hink, MD, Section Chief of Oculoplastic Division.Supervision Exercised

Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates will be M.D. trained and have completed an approved residency program in ophthalmology including fellowship training in oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery.Candidates must be board certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.Preferred Qualifications:ASOPRS fellowship training is strongly preferred but not required.How to Apply:

HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor $220,000 - $250,000.The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
