Data Scientist
to join our growing team! As a Data Scientist at CFDRC, you will be working onsite at Eglin, AFB in support of AFRL/RW (Munitions Directorate) Kinetic Hardware-in-the-loop Simulation (KHILS) facility as a subcontractor position to SAIC under the WESTAR contract.You will:Research, test, and evaluate the best-of-breed data collection mechanisms we'll leverage to curate modeling and simulation, terminal seeker sciences, aerodynamics, guidance, navigation, and control data.Architect science and technology data collection strategies that automates ingest and indexing to transform data into quarriable intelligence.Develop machine learning and unsupervised learning models and dataset statistics.Build robust visualization dashboards that summarizes contextual insights and celebrates S&T data intelligence.Author data state surveys that highlight and demonstrate data lake utilization.QualificationsCandidate must be a U.S. Citizen and an ACTIVE DoD SECRET Clearance is required to start.B.S. in Computer Science or Data Science & 9+ years of experience, OR Master's degree & 7+ years of experience.Understand best practices of dataflow transit and curation of raw endpoint data to intelligent enrichment.Experience with implementing mechanisms that dynamically index, tag, and add metadata to a fully searchable database.Experience with deploying data analytics tools and techniques.Adept at recognizing data patterns, trends, and insights.Open to exploring bespoke solutions to get the most out of AFRL's data and resources.Experience with large scale data storage, retrieval, and processing solutions, such as Apache Spark.Data collection in a research laboratory context.Data stream processing with tools such as Apache Kafka.Developing visualizations that help users gain novel insights and actionable intelligence from their data.Experience with accessing the performance and suitability of trained machine learning model's performance on new data.Desired certifications to include:Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)Data Science Council of America (DASCA) Principle Data Scientist (PDS)Microsoft Certified Data Scientist or AI FundamentalsTensorflow DeveloperSAS Certified Professional in AI and Machine Learning.Location:
