Junior UX Designer , your creativity and insight will be integral in creating innovative digital health products from concept to delivery. Your ability to elevate our user experiences for our global customers, set high design standards, and leverage profound human understanding will be pivotal to our mission.What You’ll Work On

User Research:

You’ll conduct user research to identify pain points and barriers in the current onboarding experiences. This could involve usability testing, user interviews, and analyzing user behavior data to understand where users struggle or disengage.

Interaction Design:

Analyze business requirements and user needs to create user flows and task flow diagrams. Translate your ideas into wireframes and prototypes for stakeholder and user feedback, creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for digital products.

Visual Design:

Create user-centered mock-ups of visual designs that are consistent with UI guidelines and Abbott’s brand standards and design system.

UX Design:

Develop wireframes and user flow diagrams to plan and conceptualize new features before they are visually designed with KPI tracking.

Design Documentation:

Specify final designs and create commercial design input documentation and design dev handoff documentation.

Design System:

Build out and promote the company’s design system. Manage the governance process and internal release cycles. Collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain a prioritized backlog of work items.

Design Process:

Apply and evangelize human-centered design methodologies. Support cross-functional design sprints and workshops.

Collaboration:

Work closely with product managers and user researchers to understand customer needs and make informed design decisions. Negotiate the technical feasibility of your designs with engineering and support agile teams in developing high-quality user interfaces.

E-commerce Product Design:

Design user-friendly e-commerce platforms that enhance the shopping experience.

Accessibility Design:

Ensure that all products are accessible to people with disabilities, which involves designing with accessibility standards and guidelines in mind.

Conduct GenUI POCs for design and digital marketing tools.

Design Thinking Workshops:

Facilitate or contribute to workshops to innovate and solve problems creatively, focusing on user-centric solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Design / Human Factors or related field/work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Fundamental understanding of UX / UI principles

Proficient in Figma – Design & Prototypes

Innovative thinking: Design thinking mindset

Basic understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and WCAG / Accessibility

Analytical skills: Basic competency in understanding Heatmaps, interpreting user interaction & behavioral data

User-Centric Approach: Ability to defend user needs and how design choices affect engagement and frustration

Collaborative skills, ability to work in cross-functional team settings, and receptivity to feedback

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
