Position Summary

The Selling District Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a sales territory while learning State Chemical's sales process. Responsible for learning the sales process and product knowledge, using company training tools. During this period, the Selling DSM will learn account development and territory planning. Once the Selling DSM meets agreed-upon goals for new territory growth, you will be responsible for hiring an account manager to take over the new territory while assuming the full role of District Sales Manager. The Selling District Sales Manager will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Position Responsibilities

Meet/exceed sales growth targets through continuous growth in average order value, new agreement growth, and average orders per month.Recruit, train, and develop sales personnel.Field supervision and development of new and veteran sales associates.Establish clear district goals and sales targets through business and territory planning.Reinforce and support corporate policies and guidelines in a consistent manner.Maintain/build sales relationships with existing and new customers.Aid in the development of future Sales Managers through training assignments.Act as a liaison between field sales and company headquarters.Promote company marketing and promotional programs.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor degree in a related field.2 plus years of successful outside sales experience.Ability to travel 20% of the time.Train and coach direct sales representatives during the planning and selling process.Territory and district management.Interviewing skills for sales positions.Selling and coaching skills, problem-solving.Ability to participate in group projects or activities that can result in new ideas that generate or enhance short-term results.Manage multiple tasks at any one time.Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization, both verbal and written.
