Immigration Paralegal AssociateJersey City, NJExperience Level: Mid-seniorExperience Required: 5 YearsEducation Level: Bachelor’s DegreeJob Function: LegalIndustry: Financial ServicesCompensation: View SalaryTotal Position: 1Relocation Assistance: NoJOB DESCRIPTION:Our future colleague will be a member of the General Counsel's Office focused on immigration activities, working closely with HR, various business areas, and outside counsel.The Immigration Specialist is tasked with assisting clients, employees, and candidates with immigration procedures, allowing for their employee eligibility.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide hands-on immigration support and advice to our business hiring managers and HR function.Work directly with candidates and employees in the US and Americas regions to guide their immigration process.Track statuses of all sponsored employees and candidates, ensuring each case is progressing as needed.Obtain necessary reviews for immigration processes, including candidate screening, visa renewals, and green card process consideration.Present business justifications collected from HR to screen sponsorship candidates with immigration law firm.Maintain open communication with the immigration law firm, including appropriate cadence monthly meetings and ad hoc meetings as needed.Interface with onsite contacts in each US office for handling physical postings (LCA notices, PERM postings).Serve as the SME for employees, candidates, and managers involved in immigration-related processes.Educate stakeholders on immigration policy, regulations, and best practices to ensure desired outcomes.Review immigration-related invoices for accuracy and tracking to budget.Maintain immigration employee tracker.Act as the project manager for large-scale regulatory submissions.Provide other paralegal and general administrative support for the regulatory attorney group as assigned.LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:Inclusive Leadership: Values individuals and embraces diversity.Feedback: Seeks and provides feedback to support development.Delegating: Effectively manages tasks and people.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.Minimum of 2 years immigration experience.Minimum of 5 years of analyst, administration, or project management experience.Excellent organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication.Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.Collaborative working style.Experience at a full-service law firm or in-house legal department strongly preferred.Paralegal certification strongly preferred.ABOUT:
