Responsible for the relationship, direction, coordination and sales growth of our major national distributors and mass merchandisers.Your main responsibilities:Lead efforts to grow with national and key regional customers in both the distribution network as well as mass merchandisers.Assist Regional Managers, District Managers, and Manufacturers Reps with the assigned national accounts planning process. Participate in the key account planning process, which includes specific quarterly review and planning process with each region/territory. This process shall include: reviewing and establishing 5 quarterly objectives, sales results, and other pertinent topics. Assure completion and reporting of these plans as agreed.Establish and maintain key relationships with buying influences and ensure that Klein officer(s) have relationships with senior officers of major accounts.Understand each account's culture, key personnel, and direction to grow sales in assigned accounts.Execute strategies/programs that will maximize sales while upholding our margins with our key accounts. Ensure that both short and long term strategies are developed and removed on a frequent basis focusing on significant opportunities.Develop sales plans to combat competitor’s efforts and programs with each key account.Develop a plan to increase annual sales volume to or above annual quota for assigned accounts.Participate in quarterly review and planning process for assigned national accounts. This process shall include: establishing and reviewing 5 quarterly objectives, sales results and other pertinent topics. Assures completion and reporting of these plans as agreed.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with a Master's Degree preferred with a minimum eight (8) years selling experience with specific experience in sales management or national account responsibility. Experience in the construction and/or industrial markets with an overview of one-step and two-step distribution and the mass merchandiser channel.Ability to create and understand sales forecasting and developing sales programs. Create an image with accounts that emanates professionalism, competence, and credibility. An individual with a high degree of people skills, a sense of urgency, and very adept at the art of negotiations. The ability to interact and interface with a variety of people in different responsibilities and different levels inside and outside the organization.Physical Demand Requirements:Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
