Job Summary
The Pest Control Sales Representative plays a vital role in the growth of a pest control company. A friendly and determined Pest Control Sales Representative develops new accounts with leading customers, builds a positive customer relationship, closes deals, and ensures repeat business from existing clients. A majority of a Pest Control Sales Representative's daily role includes making inbound and outbound calls, traveling to residential and commercial customers' property, and following up on potential leads. Pest Control Sales Representatives ultimately represent the pest control company and must obtain the skills to listen to customer needs and meet those needs to satisfaction.
Essential Functions
Generate leads and contact homeowners in your assigned area to generate salesFollow up on internal leads to generate a saleKeep scheduled appointments on timeAdequately explain and demonstrate the benefits and prices of our products and servicesEstimate pest control costs and prepare contractsInspect customers' homes; inside, outside, attics, basements, and crawl spacesUpsell on other servicesMust close multiple sales per weekExpected to complete 3-4 proposals per dayComplete contracts and submit to clients at time of inspection or within 24 hoursKnow all contract terms and conditions and encouraged to know our competitors as wellContact customers after services are performed to ensure satisfactionWork with outside sales team to market and close leadsMarket and work with real estate agents and buildersAttend all required training sessionsAll other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
At least 2 years of sales experienceExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsBasic math skills21 years of age preferred for insurance purposesAbility to pass a drug screen and 7-year background checkPossess current driver's licenseProof of clean driving record for past 3 yearsWilling to work evenings and weekends as neededLegally able to work in the United StatesAbility to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency required licensing examsPrevious experience in the termite or pest control industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the individual who believes in themselves and can exceed our expectations
Physical Requirements
Required to use ladderMust have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 20lbs or moreSitting for long periods of time while commuting to job sitesMust be able to maneuver in close or tight quarters
