Shipping Associate

to join our team! As a

Shipping Associate , you will contribute to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by supporting our manufacturing team and ensuring that our products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition.Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalentPrior experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environmentPrevious forklift experience or willingness to learn to operate a forkliftAbility to read blueprintsAbility to perform basic mathAbility to read tape measurePreferred Qualifications

Quality Management System experienceCrane/Hoist operation experienceAbility to build cratesTypical Responsibilities

Lift, move, and position product for finish painting operation.Pack finished product to assure it arrives free of damage and accurate to the Sales Order specifications, including pulling stock at floor level and using an eight-foot step ladder; counting, performing addition of multiple line items, and operation of electronic counting scale.Pre-assemble some finished products prior to shipment, using hand tools, power tools, and simple hydraulic press. Neatly applying product labels and operating metal band saw and deburring stock on belt sander.Build crates and pallets, including operation of power saw and power nailer. Apply appropriate shipping labels.Safely loading finished products for transportation, by hand and using forklift and pallet jack.Conduct final inspections to assure products conform to specifications, taking measurements using ruler and tape measure.Identify product nonconformities and initiate a Corrective Action Report, as needed.Review Packing List for accuracy and initiate a Corrective Action Report, as needed.Follow proper safety protocols including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.Benefits
