Account Manager

to play an integral role in revenue generation and relationship building for a subset of Zayo’s Carrier accounts. Our

Account Manager

is responsible for assisting Account Directors by handling most transactional customer requests, backbone network opportunities, renewals and large RFPs. These requests encompass quoting, service prospecting and order creation as well as general questions related to the customer’s embedded base of services.The

Account Manager

role requires frequent collaboration with Account Directors, Deal Management, Sales Engineering, Customer Success and Service Delivery teams. Consequently, it is critical for the

Account Manager

to actively manage projects that involve other internal teams to meet customer expectations. The

Account Manager

is often the first touch-point for the customer. It is essential for this role to provide frequent updates to our internal and external customers in order to display Zayo’s commitment to best in class customer service.The primary focus of the

Account Manager

is to handle customer requests that come into the Sales team and generated by the Account Director. These requests include quoting, service prospecting, order creation and general questions related to the customers embedded base of services. Additionally, the role will require regular syncs with Sales management to understand evolving customer needs and overall account strategy.Responsibilities

Develop and maintain knowledge of Zayo’s sales tools such as Tranzact, Salesloft and Salesforce.comSupply quotes for customers when they engage the team for a new serviceCoordinate with the Tranzact team to process bulk requestsCreate ICB’s for non-standard quote requests that require deal management and engineering approvalsCollaborate with deal management and engineering teams to verify customer requirements are met for custom pricing solutionsManage outstanding ICB requests and ensure deliverables are returned within customer expectationsGenerate service orders for new services from approved quotes and ICB’sProcess MAC order for changes to existing customer services (upgrades, renewals, etc.)Field general questions regarding a customer's embedded base of services, quotes, orders, etc.Sync regularly with account managers to understand customer needs, priorities and account strategy.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degreeMinimum of 2 (two) years' relevant work experienceProven ability to build relationshipsStrong financial acumenQuick learner who collaborates well with othersExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExceptional customer service and relationship building/maintaining skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsA sense of urgency and desire to rapidly accelerate results and career with Zayo SalesExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of personalities; must be approachable, show respect for others and be able to present data with effective communication and presentation skillsHigh tolerance for ambiguity and can work successfully in a matrix management modelKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce is a plusWillingness to learn Zayo Networks value proposition, products, and services such as Ethernet, Waves, IP transport, Dark Fiber, Cloud services/connectivity, and ColocationAbility to travel as necessaryBenefits, Rewards & Wellness
