Shift:

Most weeks are Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:30 with occasional weekend and holiday schedules on rotation. Weekend and holiday rotations are 9am-1pm. Evening rotations are 11:30am to 8:00pm.

Rotations for weekends are between 6 and 8 weeks.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Senior Patient Digital Ambassador (PDA) is the main point of contact for patient engagement in virtual care and administrative support for the Center for Virtual Health (CVH). The Senior PDA is responsible for the management of the back end administrative functions of the Virtual Primary Care and the various Virtual Specialties in the CVH to ensure timely billing and collection. Additional duties related to coordinating with accounts receivable for documentation errors, patient financial services, and patient experience. Assisting patients with registering for the ChristianaCare portal, setting up and troubleshooting monitoring technology, monitors clinical dashboards, and facilitates escalation of clinical alerts to the Virtual Registered Nurse (VRN) and/or provider as necessary. The Senior PDA will flex to CVH’s variable clinical and administrative needs between Specialty and Primary Care.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Associate degree in health-related field required, bachelor’s degree preferred; or a graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

2 years of customer service and/or handling of customer payments required.

4 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

For Medical Assistants only:

Medical Assistant certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) required if working in state of New Jersey.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Standing, walking, bending, reaching, typing, utilizing a computer mouse for long periods of time, and lifting.
