Here at Alston & Bird, we have built a foundation of trust, consistency, and humanity that contributes to our overall success.JOB OVERVIEWAttorney licensed in the state in which they are employed and paid on an hourly basis to assist in complex document reviews, legal research, writing and analysis, and other projects.Alston Discovery Project Attorneys are hired for a temporary period of time or for the duration of a particular project or projects.Alston Discovery Project Attorneys are temporary employees of Alston & Bird, with his/her official employer of record being TargetCW. If they qualify, they are offered benefits through TargetCW.ESSENTIAL DUTIESAssist in complex document reviews, legal research/analysis, and other projects.Review and analyze documents using a variety of online review tools, including Relativity.Analyze and apply subjective coding of privileged and responsive documents.Perform 2nd tier review or quality control on a document review.Index and organize documents.Retrieve and review documents and respond to case needs as necessary.Perform special projects as assigned.Create, revise and update privilege logs.Review, code and redact documents for confidentiality.Draft memoranda regarding the status of projects or issues presented by a project.Maintain current and accurate time entry (InTapp) records and TargetCW Webcenter timesheets.Knowledge of and adherence to the Firm’s policies and procedures, including established Best Practices.SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFULJuris Doctorate degree.Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state in which they are employed.A minimum of three years of document review experience or equivalent substantive litigation experience.Legal analysis skills.Familiarity with e-discovery review platforms and tools.Detail oriented.Ability to effectively express yourself, both orally and in writing.Ability to establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONIf selected for an interview, a representative from Alston & Bird will contact you.
