The Furniture Mover / Packer Helper will load and / or unload household goods / personal effects, products, parts, materials, crates, boxes, pallets of freight or commodities in and out of containers, warehouse, storage units, jobsite(s), and /or possibly customer / member(s) homes.
Pay : Between $17.00 - $18.00 an hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate professionally with customers and co-workersPack/wrap Household Goods safely and securelyUnload/Unpack Household Goods and place into residence at customer requestAbility to use ALL moving equipment safelyAdhere/follow ALL company safety practices, policies, and proceduresReport all damages and/or injuries in a timely mannerREQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety proceduresAbility to foster a cooperative work environmentAbility to follow routine verbal and written instructionsThe ability to give and receive verbal instructionsPass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background checkEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous transportation experience preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 poundsThe ability to respond quickly to soundsThe ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesThe ability to see and respond to situationsThe ability to work in extreme weatherThe ability to walk, crouch, or kneelBENEFITS
